Leon Perrott Wins London Youth Games

RIDGEWAY School pupil Leon Perrott tore up the competition when he competed in skateboarding at the London Youth Games.

Skating was debuting at the event as a demonstration sport and the 13-year-old wasted no time in becoming one of the first winners at Crystal Palace’s National Sports Centre.

The event was held in a skate park-style arena with jumps, grind rails, quarter pipes and a fun box.

Perrott performed some big ollies, kickflips, 360 pop shove its and 50-50 grinds, along with some of his own tricks.

The youngster had two runs lasting a minute each, and he managed to land his moves to achieve a score of 67 per cent, and take the crown.
